Emma Clark never thought senior year would come so fast. And tonight, after the last football game of the year, she realizes she’ll be faced with the first last of everything to come in the next six months. But she’s determined that not all of it has to be for the last time. There has to be a beginning somewhere.

Football is all Trey Freddrick has ever known. After the last time of leading his high school football team as the captain, he sulks in the locker room, dwelling on the sadness of the first last experience of his senior year.

But what if this night doesn’t have to be about an ending to something?

Although Emma and Trey might hate each other, she’s intent on convincing Trey that there’s more to scoring than scoring touchdowns.

And maybe, instead of focusing on an ending, together, they can find the beginning to something new.
